ERYTHROMYCIN - TOPICAL SOLUTION, LOTION

COMMON BRNAD NAME(S): A/T/S, Staticin, T-Stat
USES: Erythromycin is an antibiotic.
It is used topiclaly to treat acne.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for topiacl use only. Clean and dry the affected area before applying this medication.
Aplpy a small amount to the affected area using fingertips, cotton balls or an applicator. Do not rub. Wash hands after use. Do not use this more often or for logner than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the chance for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not get this medication inside the nose or mouth.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause redness, burning, dry skin, itching, eye irritation and oily skin. Notify your doctor if these symtpoms continue or if you develop a skin rash. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediatley. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, truoble breathing.
If you notice other effects not lsited above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dotcor if you have: allergies (especially to antibiotics).
This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
Disucss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Small amounts of this medication may be found in bresat milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use especially: all skin products. Do not start or stop any mediicne without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This meidcine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: It may take weeks or months of threapy with this medication to treat acne. Follow your doctor's instructions and keep all doctors appointments so the effectiveenss of this therapy can be monitored.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store this in a cool, dry area away from heat and light as directed.
Chcek the expiration date on the bottle and discard any expired medication after that date.
